Marc Pelletier – Filmmaker

Born and raised in small-town Fall-River, Nova-Scotia, Canada, Marc Pelletier chose to pursue experimental filmmaking in Montreal where he co-founded an artist-run film and video cooperative, ON EST 10.

His filming techniques combine frame-by-frame and long exposure cinematography through an explorative creative process. The results are a reinterpretation of space, texture and time that forms a somewhat nebulous and onirique environment for the spectator to experience.

Frame-by-frame being a lengthy process, his filmography is only comprised of a handful of short films. Nonetheless, Pelletier’s work has been screened in renowned festivals such as the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and others.
